Technology

Technology (ICT) lessons provide students with valuable opportunities to develop a deep understanding of digital devices and how they can be used purposefully to achieve a range of outcomes. As technology continues to shape the way we learn, work and communicate, these skills are essential for success both in and beyond the classroom.

Through ICT, students build and refine fundamental skills that support learning across all subject areas. These include efficient typing, creating and formatting documents and collecting and organising data. As students progress through school, they further develop their capabilities by learning to use tools such as spreadsheets for data analysis and presentation software to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.

Importantly, ICT lessons also encourage students to think critically, solve problems and work creatively in digital environments. By fostering confidence and independence with technology, we equip students with the skills they need to become capable, responsible, and adaptable users of digital tools in an ever-changing world.
